Don't Call It A Comeback

Some things don't change. I once had a show called Constant Elevation, where I captured my thoughts as I rose through the ranks as a military officer and shared my leadership experiences at the tactical operations level with a voice that probably wasn't commonly heard. That show ended last year, and I was happy with what I created. I also wrote a book called No Pressure...But Don't Mess This Up that collected my advice on how to approach the best job in the Air Force: squadron command. That was a personal challenge that I still can't believe I accomplished. I've always had the urge to create, and I've reached another point in my life to create another chapter to share my vision for leadership at the strategic operations level within today's environment.

Noisy. That's how I describe today's environment. Fast sound bytes. Flashy visuals. Motivating sounds. These marketing methods definitely move audiences to find answers to questions they encounter within they daily activities.

I'm here to offer an alternative to the noise.

I'm here to offer authentic words to ponder and think about on your own. Not too much. Not too little. Understanding and leveraging what the human-machine team can achieve as a cohesive unit. Honing those thoughts and publishing them in my little corner of the world to share with those interested in leveling-up their mindset and succeeding at whatever challenge they are facing. The challenge could be within your chosen place of battle in the physical world, or simply between your ears. Learn from my mistakes, form your opinions, shape your strategy, and get after it already.

One could call my previous content "freestyle" in nature. Off the cuff and free flowing in thought. If you know me in person, you would understand that type of energy I exude is quite natural and I hope that it positively effects you. However, this content will not be like that. Instead, it will be more like a written song. Deliberate in prose, rhythm, and speed. I'll post my content bi-weekly in both written and spoken word, as to not lose the opportunity to reach someone who prefers one medium over the other. I will primarily create in written form, and then make accompanying audio forms to follow. Note: I will probably still freestyle from time to time. It is my platform after all.

I don't plan on creating an e-mail newsletter because I don't want to clutter your inbox. You can choose to subscribe to the show as to keep up with the content as it is published. Like I said, my goal is to share my knowledge for those interested and spark something in your mind to keep moving forward.

Keep moving in the direction where you see the best version of yourself.

Remember: the best version of yourself will not be static. The best version of yourself will flow with the world and the choices you make and don't make. Perhaps my stories will give you a perspective to right a wrong. Offer some grace in a moment you normally wouldn't. I can promise you that through each piece of content I'll share with you, you'll walk away with a better perspective on how to lead and live with a little more aloha and enjoy this thing called life.

So welcome to the book of gaberock.
